In earlier days, the sugar company ran a free passenger train from Sigatoka through Nadi and Lautoka to Ba. It took all day!! You can now experience this leisurely mode of travel by boarding the same train at Cuvu (5 mins. from Myola) for the 1½ hr. train ride to the lovely Natadola beach stopping off en route at an impressive cave system which was used in olden times as a hiding place during tribal conflicts. You will pass through attractive countryside and a number of villages. On arrival at the beach, whilst you enjoy your swim, the staff will be preparing your BBQ lunch. After another swim or a doze in the sun, you return on the sugar train to Cuvu.
